About Alison Huband
Growing up in the Worcestershire countryside and now as a mother to my lovely daughter Isabelle, my love of nature and crafting has always been bubbling away.
During my childhood I loaded my little flower press many times with all kinds of leaves and plants including hops from our farm set in th e beautiful Worcestershire countryside. I would eagerly await the results, many times spinning the butterfly wingnuts on and off which held the press down tight. When ready, and sometimes before they were ready, I selected my favourite pressed treasures to make into pictures and cards.
Now, years later, a little corner of my home is my studio and this is where I spend my spare time making jewellery. I preserve the colours and structures of nature in beautiful and unique handmade jewellery stones. I take plants such as moss and rose petals and set them in resin to create the jewellery stone. The moss ones are my favourite but I am really excited to see how the forget-me-not petal rings are going to turn out, the flowers are such a beautiful shade of blue.
I incorporate nature from the Worcestershire countryside and also make custom pieces using special occasion flowers including wedding, mums first flowers and funeral flowers. Whether making a gift for someone, a special memorial keepsake or something for myself, working with nature and creating this lovely jewellery is such a great pleasure.
