COVID 19 - PLANS - Introduction and Overview

The safety of our staff and customers is of paramount importance and we are have made our plans to reflect this at the Jinney Ring.

We are being guided by Government for the re-opening timetable, regulation and general advice.

Please see below actions to reduce the spread of the virus.

Please be aware that we are a small business within old and quirky buildings, therefore social distancing measures will only be achievable with the co-operation and thoughtfulness of our customers.

Craft Units and Gift Shop

Gift Shop and Craft Units are open on shorter hours at the moment.

For the Gift Shop the opening hours are: Monday - Sunday 11 to 4:00pm

Restaurant/Café

Whilst we started in the safest possible way by opening the gardens for restaurant/café use first. The weather change for Autum now means that we have moved our service inside the buildings

There is still a courtyard marquee in place at the front of the building should you just wish a quick 'cuppa' and snack outside.

We are be required to take details from all customers, this is to comply with government contact tracing rules. We will ask you for a lead party and telephone number. This information will be stored for 21 days and then destroyed.

We will be asking which area you are coming from as you need to abide by the rules of your own tier for Covid regulations. We are in Tier 2 which means that you may only come inside to eat and drink if you are part of the same household or social bubble.

All tables are socially distanced and furniture should not be moved.
Tables will be for customers of the restaurant/café only and there will be limited access to the gardens.

The outside toilets are open during trading hours and cleaned daily.


The garden restaurant/café is open everyday from 10:30- 4:30 but during this period may be varied based on prevailing weather. Changes in status will be posted on our website where known in advance.

Actions to help reduce spread of Covid 19

Around the Site:
There is a one-way system through external corridors to reduce the instance of close proximity. Where there is no one way system signage indicates and customers will need to be cautious of each other.

Our toilets are open only during restaurant trading hours and are cleaned daily.

Wheelchairs - are available on request, these may be booked out from the gift shop for a returnable deposit of £10. These will be cleaned down after each use.

Gift shop
* Customers are required to wear face masks while inside all shops and in the restaurant unless seated.

* There is a hand sanitiser station positioned by the entrance door and at other points where it may be neceesary to touch products (e.g cards).

* There is a one-way system through the large gift shop, this will take customers up the main stairs and down the back stairs. Caution will be required crossing the stairwell at the top of the main stairs when going between floors.

* Customer numbers will be controlled by the craft unit holder or a member of staff at the front of the store (Pay desk).

* No entry into the shops will be permitted if there is congestion in the entrance area. Right of way will be required to those exiting the shop.

* Only 4 customers to be on Antiques floor at the same time. Signage will direct.

* Distance markers on the floor will be in place at key points to remind customers of required spacing.

* CCTV is in place at the main pay desk to ensure adherence.

* Customers who are unable to use the stairs may view the ground floor only by using the ramp available however will need to excercise caution and consideration as exit and entry ramp is the same route.

* There is a screen at the pay desk to protect both parties.

* Customers are asked to pay by card if at all possible. Card machines will be cleaned after each "contact" use. We will however still take cash if necessary.

* Staff will wear masks if they come out from Pay desk to help.

* Customers are expected to stay at prescribed distance from staff if they require assistance.

* Customers are asked not to touch goods unless they plan to purchase them.

* Our cleaning regime specifically includes daily cleaning all stair rails and door handles. Credit card machines and hand sanitising points will be cleaned more frequently.

* Artists will attend site to merchandise and restock their areas out of operating hours.

Restaurant/café areas

* Customers are welcomed to the restaurant by a member of staff who will collect contact trace information (main party name and telephone number) and asked to take a table, they are given a clean laminated menu.

* A waiter will attend the table to take orders but will be wearing a mask and will maintain social distance.

* Once the order is placed food and drinks, condiment and cutlery will be delivered to the table on a tray. This will be left on the table for the customer to unload to prevent infinging social diatance rules.

* Once customers have left the table the dirty dishes will be cleared and the table sanitised.


Toilets
* Toilets are cleaned daily when site has been open.

* There is a notice in toilets to give 'report point contact' for attention that may be needed.
