About the Pottery Workshop The four Potters who combine their time and talents under the brand of 'The Pottery Workshop' have an exciting range of pottery on display and in their studio. Their styles are very different and therefore you will have a very good choice whether it is for your home or garden.

A recent addition is a "Make your Sign" service where they will make up any sign for you to your specifcatations.

Between them they make a huge variety of pottery items including house signs, lamps, garden ornaments as well as pots, animals, wall hangings and plaques.

More details can be found below on their individual pages.

Courses and Activities

The Pottery Worskshop run lots of events and activities so that everyone can have a try at pottery of one sort or another. they are great teachers with a very relaxed style. Currently they are running:

Valentine's Pottery and Children's pottery for Half Term and St Georges Day. You will find details in the Events and Activities listing - click here

Nancy Frost

Nancy produces functional ware as well as work that is more expressive in nature.

Ruth Portman

Ruth uses mainly buff or crank clays and occasionally porcelain, fired to stoneware and simply decorated with oxides to enhance texture.

Chris Bell

Chris generally make two types of pottery: high fired Stoneware garden pots and planters and low fired Raku decorative pots and individual pieces.

Sally White

There are so many different artistic avenues that Sally feels she would like to go down. At aged 18 she looked into being a jeweller but after taking the foundation course at Bourneville finally decided on ceramics. She has always been interested in all the crafts and finds it hard to confine her thoughts and talents to just one topic!.
