About The Hattery About The Hattery
The Hattery at the Jinney Ring started off as a central meeting place to talk and swap ideas for a group of independent milliners who needed to swap ideas and develop themselves. They have now been here for about 4 years and find that their Fridays are very busy indeed!.

The group meet only once a week in the meeting room. During that time they hold meeting with clients to discuss new hats, quite often matching them to a special outfit, they also take care to design something that will suit each individual's head and face, this may be a full hat or perhaps a fascinator.

There are also pre-made hats on sale and the group run millinery courses and lessons from time to time.

Please do not be shy to pop in to see them - they are always happy to have visitors.

Rita Mariatt

Rita's 'alternative' hats are created as larger sculptural pieces, individually designed to compliment an outfit.

Pat Keeley

Pat's preference is for making traditional hand blocked hats in sinamay straw and felt.

Berni Darke

Bernie makes abstract soft shapes by manipulating the fabric to create original pieces.
