2pm John DentonJohn 'JD' Denton's love of the blues began, like some many others, as a teenager in the sixties. In the 1980's, he toured the Home Counties extensively with the JD Blues Band, relocating to Malvern in 1992. He fronted Birmingham-based '7:17 Blues' between 1996 and 2001 as vocalist and guitarist, earning acclaim for his powerful, soulful vocals. Today, he fronts John Denton's Blues Raiders, playing a mix of funky blues, jazzy blues and his trademark acapella songs.
